About Anime Girl 

Born in Fukuoka, Japan to a military family who moved around the globe; Anime Girl's first musical influences were the R&B & Funk music of her older brother, the classical and opera of her Father, and the 60's rock and folk of her Mother.

Anime Girl the New Beat Poet, is a fusion of atmospheric electronic soundscapes mixed together with the vocal delivery ranging from rhythmic spoken word neo-beat poetry, soulful vocals, and ethereal modern opera.

The powerful and rich tone of her voice mixed with emotionally charged lyrics will captivate any listener. Whether she's singing about love, societal issues, or reflecting on childhood fears, one thing is for sure, you will feel that she means what she's singing.

Another interesting aspect of this project is the choice to call each CD project a "Chapter" in her alter-ego; "Anime Girl's" life. Building each chapter around subjects to give each album a life of it's own.

Rising out of a tumultous life, but remaining strong and true to her spirit, Anime Girl rises out of her gritty past to release her angst deep underground. Wielding a sword made of pen and paper, using her verses to drive back negativity and rise above victorious. A true Soulja of Misfortune. Deep in the depths of the underground she will be mixing up a magical potion of spoken word, trip/hop, electronica, monologue, and mystical sounds.

As Anime Girl soulja's on beyond the defeat of her worldly demons of days gone by, she finds renewed strength to search the world for her soul mate. During her journey, she encounters many obstacles and deceit. Will she find what she's looking for or will there be another battle between the good and the evil hearts. Will the weight of a heartless world grab hold of her heart and lead her astray...you'll have to wait and see.

After searching for her true love in "Mission of Love", Anime Girl took a years sabatical to reach deep inside and found the love she'd been searching for all along resided inside herself. With this new enlightenment, Anime Girl once again ventures out into the world. This time she sets out to begin the journey of a lifetime. With the courage to begin anew; she sets the stage for a brand new life and embraces her newfound knowledge as her sword of truth. Anime Girl sheds her old skin and vows not to fight her path in the universe or return to the past, but to live in the moment and let life happen and unfold as it was meant to be.
